Color in Concert: Experience Melody, Create in Color (Carnatic)

Pranava Arts Collective invites you to Color in Concert.

Spend an afternoon immersed in live Indian classical music, intuitive coloring, and guided meditation in the peaceful setting of Freedom Park. As musicians perform expressive Carnatic vocal music accompanied by veena and mridangam, you'll be invited to respond with color on a blank page using simple creative prompts.

No artistic or musical experience is necessary. This unique program offers a welcoming space to slow down, listen deeply, explore your creativity, and discover how music can cultivate presence, reflection, and emotional connection.

Recommended for ages 10 and up.

This project was made possible, in part, with funding from ASC, and the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.”

Dance Yoga

Step into the world of Bharatanāṭyam as we explore Indian art through rhythmic footwork, expressive gestures, and the storytelling power of movement. Together, we’ll discover how these traditions create deep emotional connections between artist and community. We’ll then carry that energy inward with a guided, integrative meditation, allowing the experience to settle into the body and mind.

Come move, feel, and connect.
